December! How time is flying by.
We have been here now for FIVE whole months. Amazing.
I am recalling a post I made where I told my friends and family how I am still in awe that I am living my dream. Just being out here fits the bill. I drive slowly down the country roads to take in the big beautiful open sky and plains...and when I was "mowing" I was mowing super fast! lol
We are still waiting on the tiller we ordered. It is finished but waiting on more product before it can be shipped. So, it is looking like mid-January. Sigh. All good...I will sway in the wind!
Speaking of wind. That is actually the hardest thing to get used to out here for me so far. There are less trees, less buildings, and less noise. So what you hear wind winds are 10 plus miles per hour...is a little unnerving. We are definitely planting a windbreak!
We got to walk our own property and cut down a Eastern Red Cedar (aka Christmas Tree) with our "wee ones". It was humbling and wonderful.
I launched this website late October with the help of Kim Hawley (a friend) and it was difficult at first to put myself out here. It is getting easier. This journey is unfolding and I am enjoying the ups and the downs.
