We're just getting started

Starting up a full-fledged farm is hard work! Read about our adventures on our blog.

Homegrown produce

We're on our way to growing rows of lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, peppers and more! In a few short years, we'll have an orchard in full swing, producing apples, peaches, cherries, plums, pears—and even nuts.

Our family farm

In October 2015, we decided to pursue the dream of having a farm. We began growing lettuce, fruit and flowers with the intent of being sustainable on a farm. I delved into the world of flower farming and became a member of the ASCFG (Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers) and the Slow Flower Community, trialling various flowers at the suburban house prior to moving out to our 19-acre farm in Linwood, Kansas. Alex supports my effort with his mechanical and research skills and is a sounding board for purchases and field practices. Our two kiddos love to help gather the chicken eggs and deadhead the flowers and, in general, play in the dirt.

It's been a dream come true.

We're the Kosmickis, and this is our family farm.

A harmonious partnership between our hands and the natural world around us

At Duet Fields, our mission is to maintain a farm environment that utilizes the natural inputs available to us by having a diversity of animals. We follow organic practices to provide healthy foods, honey, nuts and flowers for our family, friends and customers—all the while acting sustainably and mindful of permaculture techniques.
